Overview: Signy was born to parents that both served the gods diligently. Signy grew up in a religious manner and the gods were more real to her than the human lives she touched. Signy assisted her mother as the village healer while her father was both warrior and priest, as was common for the Norse people.

Named after the goddess Sigyn Signy has a great relationship with her, she looks to her as if she were a second mother. Signy is leery of Loki, but finds him fascinating all the same. Being godtouched is somewhat of a burden for the girl, as she is often found staring at the forest that always seems to call her name. Signy knows that her gods are not the only gods, that there are dark gods, the true old ones. They have always called her name though she knows not why.

Signy is the only one in her village that can communicate directly with the gods, and she is either praised or scorned for it. They say that the gods pick favorites, and it's never good for the mortal in question.
